The Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board (APSLPRB) organized the written exam for Sub-Inspector posts on November 27, 2016. This was one giant test conducted recently on 217 test venues and attended by approximately 90% applicants.
In a freshly released press notice, AP Police Recruitment Board confirmed that a total of 1,12,606 candidates took part in Paper 1, while 1,12,434 attended the Paper 2, for S.I Recruitment.
APSLPRB has been working day-night these days to process the recruitment in minimum time. This recruitment was issued in September 2016 to fill 707 posts for Sub-Inspectors, Reserved Sub Inspectors, Deputy Jailor, and Assistant Matron.
The AP Police SI Result has been declared on Dec 7, 2016, for SI (Civil), RSIs(AR/SAR CPL/APSP),Deputy Jailor & Assistant Matron (Prisons) held on 27-11-2016 (NOTIFICATION RC.NO.208/R&T/RECT.1/2016).

The AP Police Department will be filling up the SI and RSI, while Deputy Jailor and Assistant Matron vacancies to be processed by the Prisons and Correctional Services Department.
The official figures indicate that 1,23,937 applications were received by the recruitment board against these posts. The hall tickets for the preliminary test (Both Paper I and Paper II) were uploaded for 1,23,577 applicants.
The security measures taken by the recruitment board were very strict this time. Apart from the use of bio-metric machines for the attendance purpose, about 20 Finger Printing Bureau official were directed for the smooth & cheating free examination.
The Preliminary Tests were hosted on Sunday in morning and the evening shift. The answer key was released right next day of the exam date. The objections about the key answers were accepted by Dec 2, evening.

Both of these papers had 100 questions each. The maximum marks allocated for the test are 200 Marks.

APSLPRB will provide the scanned copies of OMR sheets of all the appeared candidates in 10 days along with the AP Police result of SI prelims test. The Result of AP Police SI Exam can be checked at recruitment.appolice.gov.in. Rc. No. 244 /R&T/Rect.1/2016 dated 24-08-2016 – The Result for this recruitment has been released for AP Police Sub Inspector (Communications) & Assistant Sub Inspector Finger Print Bureau against 28 posts. Just about 11,000 candidates appeared for these posts.
