Very soon, vacancies for constables, head constable, sub-inspectors & ASI will be advertised by the Delhi Police Recruitment Board. For the year 2016, new 4669 additional posts have been added. The posts will be available for both male and female candidates. These additional vacancies will be added in two phases. Almost 50% posts in the year 2016-17 while remaining 50% in the year 2017-18. Delhi Police Recruitment Board processes the recruitment for constables & head constables vacancies. The Recruitment for Sub Inspector & Asst Sub Inspector posts in Delhi Police is every year done by Staff Selection Commission through CPO Examination.
Male, Female candidates from any part of the country are eligible to apply and perform in Delhi Police recruitment. Usually, graduation is required for SI posts while class 12th for constable vacancies. Written test & Physical test are taken for selection of proper candidates.

Delhi Police Recruitment 2016 – Female, Male Constables Bharti Notification
Delhi Police Recruitment Board has released the official notification to recruit as much as 4669 constables. The vacancies have been advertised for both male and female applicants who want to serve their country with pride. Below we have given all the details such as the notification, how to apply for Delhi Police jobs, education required, and the age limits.
Required Educational Qualification: The interested applicant must be at least class 12th pass for constable posts. The certification of the qualification must be issued from a recognized education board.
- For Constable: Matric/Higher Secondary, 10th or 10+2.
- For Head Constable (Ministerial): Higher Secondary. Typing skill also required.
- For Sub-Inspector: Degree from a recognized University.
- For ASI: Graduate from recognized university.
Age Limit: To be eligible to apply the Delhi Police Application Form, the candidate must be at least 18 years old and shouldn’t have the age more than 21 years.
- For Head Constable (Ministerial): 18 to 25 years.
- For Constable: 18 to 21 years.
- For Sub-Inspector: 20 to 25 years.
- For ASI: 18 to 25 years.
There is age relaxation condition for the candidates from the reserved categories. The following candidates will get 5 years exemption in Upper Age limit:
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes & Departmental candidates.
- Ex-servicemen as per rules prescribed by the Govt. of India.
Application Fee: The fee can be paid through both offline and online modes. The reserved category candidates along with the females of other categories are exempted from paying the application charges.
- General Category: Rs. 100
- SC, ST, Woman Category: No fee.
Pay Scale Information: Rs.5200-20200/- with additional G.P of Rs.2800/-
Important dates to remember:
- Official advertisement published: 15th July 2016.
- The application form process starts: 15th July 2016.
- Last date to apply online for Delhi Police Jobs: 16th August 2016.
- Date of the constable physical test: From Sept. 2016.
- Date of the Delhi Police Constable Written Exam: In January 2017.
- The written test result announcement: In March 2017.
Delhi Police Selection Process 2016
To become a constable in the national capital of India, you’ve to go through various steps. The candidate will have to clear the written test, physical test, medical examination and finally there may be the interview. Delhi Police admit card will be released online not through the post.
