Just days back, KPRB announced the recruitment for Kolkata Police constable vacancies in which selection procedure includes PST, PET, Written Test and interview. Also training will be given to both constable and lady constables. So we have decided to cover up all information on Kolkata Police Constable written exam pattern, physical test details & interview marks etc.

P.S: Minimum chest expansion (fulaav) of 5 c.m.s is required for all categories. Weight of the candidate should be Proportionate to height as per medical standard chart shown below:
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – Applicants whose application form id founded eligible, will be invited to participate in Physical Measurement. At attendance time, Photograph and Finger Print of the aspirant will be taken using webcam/bio-metric machine. Thereafter Physical Measurement will be recorded / observed through Digital Measurement Device. Chest Measurement will be conduted for only those aspirants, who will pass in the Height and Weight Measurement (constable vacancies only).
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Qualifiers of Physical Measurement test, will be considered eligible for taking part in Physical Efficiency Test. It includes racing event. Timing of individual runner may be recorded using Radio Frequency Identification Device i.e RFID technology.

Kolkata Police Written Test for Constables: Qualifiers of physical activities will be going through the written exam of full 90 marks. Test will be offline. Optical Mark Recognition (OMR Technique) will be used to evaluate the answer sheets of the candidates. There is negative marking of 0.25/wrong answer in this paper. Minimum qualifying marks (cut-off) will be issued by KPRB before interview commencement.

- Questions Type: Multiple answer choice type.
- Topics: Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, General English and Analytical Aptitude.
Interview: For candidates who clears the written test, will be taking part in the final interview of 10 marks. As physical tests are of qualifying nature only so merit list will be built on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in written test and the interview. Then finalized candidates have to go through the medical test.
Medical Test & Verification: After final result announcement, medical test will be conducted at West Bengal State Govt hospitals. If candidate is founded fit in medical examination then character verification takes place. Candidate must have a clean profile.
