It was a real shock for 1.7 Lakh candidates who appeared for Maharashtra TET Paper I on Jan 16, 2016, morning session. After the completion of the examination, candidates came to know that exam has been cancelled due to key answers leaked through the WhatsApp. The same scenario was seen when HTET leaked and cancelled, the culprit was same, WhatsApp.
MAHA TET has been cancelled and the new schedule is being prepared. MAHA TET Paper 1 took place on Saturday from 10.30 am to 1 pm. Question paper and key answers were seen by many accused on the WhatsApp. A candidate was captured having a video of questions and their solutions. It all came into board’s notice exactly after one hour of the exam started.
Paper II was conducted without any type of leak and there won’t be any re-take for this one. However, the investigation is going on for Paper I leakage and even the board members are said to be involved in this glitch. According to the Director of Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune paper was leaked at Beed, Dhule and Pune but was cancelled for the whole state within one hour.
The leakage of question paper for competitive exams is becoming a serious problem. From the national exams like AIPMT, KVS to many state level exams, the leaks are coming up time to time. Currently, the investigation is going on and new dates for Maha TET Paper 1 will be issued. MAHATET Re-Schedule for the year 2016 should be available soon. We will surely keep you updated on this.
Answer Keys for MAHA TET are also kept on hold due to the pending paper leak case decision. This year 3.35 lakh candidates registered for the MAHA TET out of which approximately 60% appeared for Paper I and remaining for the Paper II.
