CBSE has announced the result for NEET 2016. The Exam was conducted in two phases i.e Phase I held on May 1 while the Phase II exam took place on July 24. The combined result for NEET 2016 is available now at cbseresults.nic.in website. In collaboration with “Digi Locker” initiative, the Central Board of School Education has also uploaded the score on results.digilocker.gov.in.
NEET 1 was attended by 6 Lakh candidates while 4 Lakh were registered for NEET 2. Due to paper leak in Uttarakhand, a plea was filed in Supreme Court for the retest but the court denied to interfere in the issue and asked the petition filler to ping the Uttarakhand High Court. In the meantime, CBSE has placed the NEET Results online.
CBSE is releasing Digital NEET Rank Letter this time through the DigiLocker. Candidates need to signup at digilocker.gov.in to download their Rank Card. Having Aadhar Card is vital to join this government program.

Het Shah, the NEET 2016 topper, from Gujarat, has secured the first rank in NEET by scoring 685 marks out of 720 marks in total. Previously, he also fetched 4th rank in AIIMS entrance exam.
The students are not happy with the combined result policy by the central education board. According to them, the Phase I exam was easier while compared to the Phase II exam. About 19,325 students have qualified in top 15% while 4,09,477 got pass marks in the NEET. The result for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has been put online now.

A total of 4.75 lakh applications for 2nd Phase Examination out of which only 30% (1.3 lakh) were fresh applications while the remaining ones were repeaters from the previous test held on May 1, 2016. Counting both phases, about 7,31,223 candidates participated in NEET exam this year. NEET I was organized across 1040 centres in 52 cities while NEET II took place across 739 centres in 56 cities in India and abroad.
What’s Next? Counseling, Admission Process.
As the CBSE NEET Result has been declared, it’s time for the admission process. Now, the exam organizer will conduct the admission counselings on various dates in August and September month.
The registration for main counseling is going to be started from 22nd August 2016 and will last up to August 25, 2016. The seats will be distributed between 28th August to 3rd September 2016. The second allotment will be finished till 12th of the next month. However, this is a tentative schedule and CBSE may make changes according to their preference.
NEET Paper Leak – The Same Curse followed CBSE this year too
The NEET Answer Keys were made available officially by the exam conducting body on Aug 10, 2016. During Phase II Test, around 6 members were caught in Uttarakhand who were selling a leak question paper. As much as 40 students confessed buying this paper for amount varying from ₹10 to ₹50 Lakh. Later, CBSE confirmed that the question paper obtained from the accused was totally different from the original one and didn’t match even closely.
How to Check NEET Results for Phase 1 and Phase 2 CBSE Exam?
The Central Board of School Education has released the NEET 2016 Result on the evening of 16th August. The result can be checked through two different links i.e either using the official CBSE Results website or using Digi Locker website. Below is the process to check your All India Rank, marks scored in NEET examination:
- First, visit any of these official result links: results.digilocker.gov.in or cbseresults.nic.in .
- Then enter your roll number and the date of birth.
- The birth date of the candidate must be entered in dd/mm/yyyy format using the Calander option.
- Enter the verification security code if required.
- In last, submit all of these details to access your NEET Rank Card.
- Kindly take a neat printout of your score card as it is a crucial document to be used while counseling.
