Extra Marks for Height in Punjab Police Constable Selection
Seems Punjab Police thinks that taller people can become a better police officer. In their latest recruitment, they are giving the preference to the candidates with more height. For 7,416 constable posts, candidate’s height will play the most vital role in the selection.
Out of 30 Marks, there are 15 marks assigned for the height while 15 marks for class 12th performance and the physical test activities.
A male aspirant with the height of 5 Feet 7 Inches will be awarded 10 marks for the height. An extra mark will be added for every inch to the maximum of 15 marks. Women aspirant get 10 marks for the height of 5 Feet 3 inches and an extra mark is awarded for each inch up to the maximum 5 feet and 8 inches.

As part of the physical test, boys had to run 1,600 metres in six and a half minutes and perform 3.8 meters long jump and also a 1.1-meter high jump. Women are candidates had to do the 800 metres race in 4 minutes, and the long jump of 3 meters and the high jump of 0.95 meters.
