Sashastra Seema Bal had conducted a Constable Examination for various positions at various test centers. The SSB has published the examination results online, on its official website. SSB Constable (Driver) Exam Result is now available for the test conducted on 16th April 2017.
The SSB had previously invited applications to fill up various positions for Constable (Driver, Cook, Barber, Safaiwala and Water Carrier). The total number of vacant positions was 2068. According to the procedure of selection, the applicants had to go through a physical test, as the first stage of their process of selection, before being able to appear for the written examination.
The written examination was conducted on the 16th of April, 2017, at various test centers throughout the country, where the candidates who had passed the physical fitness test, appeared for the examination. A lot depends on the success at the written examination for the candidates, since according to the selection procedure; progression to the next stage requires the candidates to pass the written examination.
As far as the nature of the examination is concerned, the questions were objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with multiple choices from which the candidate has to select the correct choice to get the necessary marks.

Keeping this in mind, it is understandable that the candidates who had appeared for the written examination are anxious for the publishing of the results of the written examination, to know the prospects of their careers. The answers have been evaluated and the tabulation of the final results is processed.
Candidates need to check the official website of SSB now, in order to ascertain whether or not the results of the written examination have been published. The SSB results of the constable test are out pretty soon; it was just a matter of patience and hope.
Since we have spoken so much about the selection procedure pertaining to the selection of candidates to the various positions they have applied for, it is not out of place to mention what constitutes this process.
Applicants are first asked to go through two sets of physical tests – Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and on passing it, the Physical Standard Test (PST). On passing both rounds of physical tests, candidates appear for a written examination.
On passing the written examination, candidates need to appear for a Trade Test in order to gauge their skills. Finally, a thorough medical examination is conducted to ascertain the fitness of the selected candidates.
