TN Lab Assistants Court Case Hearing
As you know lab assistant exam result is not yet announced due to on going court case. In latest decision, Tamil Nadu Government replied to the High Court that total 21,925 aspirants have been marked qualified for the interview in the ratio of 1:5 based on the marks scored in written examination. Final selection will be made on the basis of the weight-age marks. Interview for lab assistants will be conducted by Team headed by Chief Education Officers of respective districts.
Further, TN Govt also justified their selection procedure by saying, since the Lab Assistants job involves the chemicals work, so the interview is vital to test the eligibility of candidates. Then High Court of Madras quoted that no interview was taken for Group 4 posts so even for lab assistants, written exam is sufficient and no interview should be conducted. HC suggested following selection procedure and marks allowance :
Written Exam – 150 Marks
Employment Seniority – 10 Marks
Higher Education – 10 Marks
Experience – 2 Marks
Interview – 8 Marks
Written Exam – 150 Marks
Employment seniority – 10 Marks
Higher Education – 5 Marks
Experience – 2 Marks
Note : Tamil Nadu Lab Assistant Exam Result is not declared currently however the court case is over. There are elections going on in West Bengal in September 2016 so the results may be further delayed. We will add further updates soon.
It’s still not clear to us whether the court case is pending or not but one thing is sure the matter is still pending just because of the Amma’s Government. The newly selected education minister of the Tamil Nadu State Mr. Stalin is expected to take some positive action on it.
There are some possibilities that the government may cancel this recruitment and issue a new advertisement for Lab Assistants in Tamil Nadu state. We advise the aspirants of this exam to focus on the other available job opportunities.
