UPSC Result for Civil Services 2016 Prelim Exam is being awaited for the exam held on Aug 7, 2016. UPSC IFS, Civil Services result are going to decide the future of almost 11 lakh aspirants. Each year this examination takes place to find the worthy candidates for IPS officer and IAS officer posts on the national level. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the prelim examination on 7th August 2016 at 23 venues across the country. UPSC IAS Prelim Exam Result 2016 are expected to be out somewhere in November 2016. The main exam is scheduled for December 3, 2016, for the qualifiers of the prelims. The officer final result of civil services examination will also be declared at the same website www.upsc.gov.in. Aspirants will be able to check their marks and cut off list by downloading the PDF containing result and checking their roll number in the same document.
The prelim test held in two phases. The first shift initialized from 9.30 A.M and long lasted till 11.30 A.M. The evening shift started at2.30 pm and ended on 4.30 pm. No cheating case was found during this 2 Hours long exam. Some institutes have already popped up with the unofficial keys for the Paper I and Paper II. As per our analysis of the CS exam, the cut-off should be around 110-120 numbers as the most of the portion of the paper was considered easy by the aspirants.
Recruitment is done once a year on all India level. Compared to the 9.65 lakh candidates of last year, UPSC Civil Services Prelim 2016 had a big number. This year, 1.1 Million students had registered for this UPSC exam and almost 90% of the turned out to be present on exam day. This year, the Current Affairs section had quite a large number of quota in the paper.
